ID Armor Review
Many credit detection and identity protection products on the market today have decided to address the problem of credit theft. ID Armor is one such offer. On paper, it certainly makes sense. After all, credit theft is a terrible problem faced by modern society. As we advance in a digital age, predators of our credit get more advanced. Products like ID Armor that focus strictly on preventing credit theft and credit monitoring have become very popular. The alternative approach to the identity theft issue would seem to be a combination of prevention with the added ability to correct issues as they arise. So which approach to identity theft works best?
ID Armor's approach is their standard $1 million dollar guarantee. They also offer a feature that minimizes the amount of new credit card offers sent out to you as well as junk mail reduction, which doesn't seem to have much to do with identity theft or the protection of it. This certainly is a valuable service, although many of their features included in their plan can be accessed for free online at anytime. The ID Armor system has many parts, Unfortunately, we've found little value to most of these as many of the services included can be accessed for free elsewhere.
The basic ID Armor product offers you a free annual credit report, although we can access our credit report for free from any of the three major bureaus once a year. There would be value however, if they offered your credit report to be checked many times throughout the year. The ID Armor program is tailored specifically to monitoring your credit and help prevent Identity theft from occurring. But they've spent little time to build a solid product that assists their customers in correcting issue when they happen.
• ID Armor website has a wealth of information about their products, including information about their Identity theft protection program.
• ID Armor is only $8 per month. Unfortunately it lacks a lot of the features we've found standard in many other Identity Theft protection offers on the market.
• Website offers an automatic signup process.
• Product is often times confusing and convoluted.
• ID Armor lacks a lot of the basic services we've seen in many other identity theft offers on the market.
• ID Armor offers a do-it-yourself approach to correction identity theft once it occurs.
The Bottom Line
So is ID Armor really the best identity theft system out there like they claims to be? We’d like to believe, but if it was really that great wouldn't everyone be using it? We’d like to see some more concrete info and fewer slick graphics before we get that excited about this product. We'd also like them to help us correct identity theft issues once they begin along with all of their prevention plans. Plus, we'd feel a little bit more confident if they offered a trial offer.
